Greater Cleveland Football Association's vision is to be the best youth football program in the area while providing a high level of skilled instruction giving our players the skills to succeed at the Middle and High School levels. GCFA strongly believes that the East Wake Football League provides the best possible format for us to accomplish this vision.
Following are some of the many ways that separate us from other youth football organizations.
- Guaranteed 8 regular season home games, 4 home & 4 away. Cancelled games are always rescheduled.
- Each organization only has 3 teams, divided strictly by player age as of August 1st. The Mini Mites are the 6-8 year old team, the Mighty Mites are 9-10 years old, and the Pee Wee team has our 11-12 year old players. Having only one team for each age group keeps all the player and coaching talent together.
- All 3 teams play the same schedule, this means we stay together as an organization on game days. This keeps families with players on different aged teams together on game days and not having to decide which game to attend.
- Local playoffs with no expensive travel requirements. All 3 teams compete in their age group divisions in the regular season for the opportunity to make the playoffs and compete for the East Wake Football League Super Bowl trophy.
- EWFL allows for teams to hold 20 hours of off season practice time. We conduct off season skills and drill camps and team practices over the summer months to better prepare the athlete for the fall tackle season.
- Every player gets a personalized game jersey that is theirs to keep.
- We charge a flat registration fee of $250 for football and $160 for cheer, fundraising is encouraged but not required to participate in the league.
